Software for BC heavy civil, built in Langley

Heavicon is field and billing software for civil contractors in British Columbia: OneCall, safety, traffic control, daily reports, progress claims, T&M and hauling, on the phones your crews already carry.

Why Heavicon exists

Civil work runs on paperwork, and most of it is still on paper. Locate tickets and road use permits live in someone's head or on a whiteboard. Safety forms get filled out at the end of the week. Daily quantities get texted in and rebuilt into a spreadsheet at month end.

That costs real money, and it lands on the people running the job. A lapsed ticket stops a crew you're still paying. Progress claims go out late or short. Nobody can tell where a job really stands until the month is already over.

Most construction software is built for building contractors and adapted for everyone else. Heavicon starts from how civil jobs in BC actually run: working-day OneCall renewals, WorkSafeBC forms, MMCD contract items, statutory holdback, and a foreman who has two minutes and a phone.

Who you'll talk to

Andrew Flitton

Founder, Heavicon

In the field
Started in 2018 running and servicing excavators, backhoes and skid steers on civil jobs across the Lower Mainland, and keeping salt trucks going through the winter.
Running the job
Moved into project management on municipal and private civil work across Metro Vancouver: building progress claims, managing subcontractors and suppliers, tracking permits, and working with municipal engineering and inspectors to get work accepted and paid.
Building the software
Was building websites before he ever sat in a machine. Heavicon puts the two together, for the paperwork problems he saw on every job and at every company.
